Is the Holy Spirit Underemphasized?

I really appreciate the following video that Desiring God Ministries had up on their blog recently. If you haven’t ever watched any of the “Ask Pastor John” sessions, I commend them to you.  They are short clips in which he answers questions that people have emailed him about.

In light of the past few months of seeking and experiencing more of the Holy Spirit’s power and presence in my life, I really appreciate this session.   At the end, I told Blane, “That’s why we need each other!”

We are all gifted differently and to say that one person puts too much emphasis on one area of life might just be error (though there could be an issue of idolatry).  God gives each family, I believe, a different “emphasis” in which we are able to best use our  gifts and abilities for the purpose of edifying the body of Christ and glorifying God.

I hope you are encouraged!
